It's only been 2 days & i have loads to catch up on, so we'l start with MY LITTLE SHOE BOX design team call, YEAY here's the detail's...

My Little Shoebox Design Team Call

My Little Shoebox is looking for talented, motivated, responsible designers who have time to commit to design layouts and projects each month with our products and promote our products online and at their local stores. We haven't set a specific number of designers for our team. We welcome international submissions.

We are looking for:

1. Enthusiastic, creative people that love My Little Shoebox and are able to do monthly assignments such as layouts, projects, and cards with our products.

2. You must post your work on 2 different galleries plus the MLS galleries

3. You must be able to commit to a 12 months term, which will be from

April 1, 2012 through March 31, 2013.

4. You must be at least 18 years of age.

5. You agree to release the rights of your designs to My Little Shoebox for display on the company website, blog, and in company publications.

6. If needed, your designs may also be needed for display at trade shows.

7. In addition, as a design team member, you will be contributing twice per term to our company newsletter and be required quarterly to make a photo or video highlighting a technique for the blog.

8. People that can take great pictures of their work in natural light, with a few close-ups. Because we will be posting your work on our company blog, we want your work to shine. Dark photos, shadows and flash spots don’t show your work well.

9. International submissions welcome.

In return you will receive:

1. A quarterly package with plenty of MLS products to design with.

2. Your picture and bio on the My Little Shoebox website

3. Your own personal gallery on the My Little Shoebox website.

2. 1 layout, 1 card and 1 project representing your best work using MLS products (jpeg files no larger than

500 kb)

5. Write a paragraph about yourself telling us why you'd like to be a part of the MLS team.

6. If you've been published.

7. If you teach classes.

Feb 20th was my birthday & i had loads of cards & visit's from family & presents from my family too, ahh so blessed, esp the presents i recieved from my dd, 2 little toys & a eraser from her room, a picture she draw & a chocolate "bounty" bar, now the bounty bar was her desert one evening & she saved it for me, i knew about this because she asked me to help her wrap it up in take away flyers that was posted through the door one day, bless her cotton sock's!!

I had a girls night out saturday 25th as that was the nearest day i could round up me girl's, cheer's!!!


All my photo's that i had taken on my cell phone that night turned out AWEFUL!!! but i will keep them as they are still MY memories & i will scrap them too, oh i do have a good photo im waiting to get here through the post, a woman was going around & taking photo's for £3 each every night out we have, we buy a photo because we know its the only decent one we'l probally get.

So today me & gary went to the ice rink, its so nice to be able to go when the kids are at school, i felt a bit guilty at first as the kids are at school missing out on the fun, but its a chance for us to get in a bit of "our" time & the ice rink is a special place for us, it's where we met. ekk


Our ice rink is really run down, so i suppose that one of alot of reasons why they are pulling it down, we'l be sad to see it go, so we want to get in as much ice time as possible.


& i want to try & take all the pictures we can too, my new "compact" camera came yesturday, a little nikon coolpix & so these photo's are not very good, im thinking this is why i upgraded all those yrs ago!! But i'l keep the camera, it will be good for the kids to take photo's later too.

We went to the skating shop before we went to the rink today & i managed to buy myself a new pair of boot's, & got them sharpened too, look at these babies!!!


I was a bit wobbly at first as so many things was wrong with my old boots, the support was gone & so that made skating difficult & my right foot leaned in so much my boot almost touching the ice, so as i was use to skating like that it took all of about 10mins to get the hang of these ones, but i am in love, hehe


Whilst we was a the skate shop i saw this hocky tape, what hocky players use to bind the blade part of thier stick & use wax on it too, to help them glide along the ice & play with the puck better, they gave me it because i was rambling on about my other hobby "scrapbooking" & when i saw it i though ahh i could use that on my pages so i was telling them all about echo park & my little shoe box, etc...na they was really interested, lol


This is my knee, beautiful isnt it, well as im typing this 7 hours later after taking this photo, my whole knee is a beautiful shade of purple all over the knobbly bit & its not so knobbly anymore, where it is that swollen & i burned my elbow too!!
I took a fall, a BIG fall i was skating along, FAST & the front of my blade went in a dipp, i lost my balance & fell forward & slide for about 7ft, i thought i broke my knee at first!! But im fine just bruised ego & knee, i got up rested for a bit & got back on the ice...happy days xx

My creative space & scrap mojo...??

This is where i create & scrap make all things pretty, sparkly & shiny, i love that huge picture frame & i will use that when i renevate my new scrapspace in the new house, i use to hang my recent pages or pages that i like, or maybe a design or technique thats on certain pages i may want to use again soon, kwim? It displays my photo's too & also little pretty thing's like this...


..that i have created in ready for a page or card, because i dont really want to scrapbook at the time {where does the mojo go when you need it?} but want to stay creative & usually i get the mojo flowing & sometimes i look around my space & see what i can do?


This little 6x6 book a made a few weeks ago, for my diet inspiration, i have done nothing else to it since, so i thought its about time i did because before i know it, it will go into a cupboard somewhere & not get used & just forgotton about!!! ekk

So i added to it, look...

I actually added menus to the first few pages


& decorated the inside with inspirational words


& hung a little charm on the outside


Im loving it!!

Home decor & Photo's

My cousin georgie asked me to do some photo's of her & her little family, so i did, im not liking them as they are blurry & as it was becomming evening & we had to put light's on, well as you can see in the photo's you can tell, but these are my favorite's that i took that evening, georgie is at the top, her significant other, clifton & his dd leila & my newest little cousin tyler, arnt they all so cute!!


& im head over heals about this one, my cousin pagan, is georgie's sister, she is autistic & does not like looking at the camera at all & so when i capture this one & tyler was looking back at her, i knew i had to write something special on the photo when i was editing them


& im excitd about this too, i have recently purchased a cricut & so im still doing alot of experminenting & going crazy over collecting the cartridge's!!! I have 4 now, hehe & one of them is the Hanna Montana cartridge, i cut my dd name using one of the fonts & added pink rhinestones around the edge of the star's, they stayed on my desk for about a week before i decided WHAT to do with them, but i now have adhered them to a small piece of wall above her door in her room, this picture is horrible too as its a grey day, blaa, again it was the best i got, so

Its my birthday today

My hubs said yesturday i could stay in bed this morning & he would take the kids to school, SCORE!!!
..but then they bought me breakfast in bed & card's & presents from kaci that she got from her room & that she wrapped up in takaway leaflets, bless her cotton sock's, it was nice.

Me & DH went out for lunch & then chilled all the rest of afternoon, i was a bit bummed that yet again the ice rink shop was closed, its frustrating because they want more custom but are never open for buisness?? Anyway i didnt get my new ice hocky boots today, but i will SOON, i cannot skate in my boots any more, i swear they will fall apart!!

We collected the kids from school & went to the ice rink, this was the plan but this will also be the last time im skating in my boots they make my feet ache so much, my blades are about to fall out & the support is gone in the ankle's of both boots, i should bin them but they are over 20 yrs old, i kinda dont wanna!! kwim??

So we had a fantastic time & now we are home, the kids are in bed & its been a happy day, last year the kids were so naughty they made me cry!! lol ....wasnt funny at the time!

SweetHearts

Did everyone have a fantastic valentine's day?

I know this is a little late but i have just realised there was alot of things i did not do, this valentine's day, things i wanted to do! mainly because i was a bit spun out, you see i orderd the "sweethearts" cricut cartridge


Weeks before & in plenty of time, but to this day its not got here, i was planning on making huge decorations all around my lounge, but i just decorated my mantel instead.


& made cupcake's


I had a few sweet recipe's too like this one

Valentine Sweet Hearts

packet of puff pastry or savory/ready rolled
strawberry jam or a sweet filling
a little milk or 1 egg
icing or coloured icing {pink or red}
Sprinkles

Using a heart shaped cookie cutter, cut out hearts
from the pastry
Spread strawberry jam or other sweet filling over
the hearts & sandwich together to make little
pockets a bit like ravioli & using milk or egg
fork the edges to seal
Bake for 7-10mins or until golden brown & leave to cool
When cool make up the icing or use ready made & add a
pink or red food colouring, spread or pipe over the top of each heart & sprinkle with sprinkle's

Oh well maybe next year but we did have a great day, we spent the day together & the kids were good all day, we wanted to go ice skating but the rink was closed, little thing's like being together is all that matter's sometimes

I did contact the shop that i bought it from & they have been supportive & sent me replacement on special dilivery & i recived it today, im still going to create "something" with it of course...its just a little late for my pink, heart's & fantasy, lol

hello & welcome to my new blog!

Hello everyone after careful concideration i have decide to start a new fresh blog, this one will not only be about scrapbooking but everything else too, other hobbies, DIY & life...our life's some days i may bore you with the bla bla bla everyday strains & stresses of life which i hope that wont happen too often i try to prepare things around me so that im NOT stressed, with a fmaily of five...10 if you want to count the furbabies too, kwim!! I will try to be happiness as much as possible because that is what i am for in my little bubble, hee

I hope to bring you inspiration idea's & links i will share with you in all sorts of ways from all sorts of  places & i hope that you will link me up in many ways too.

Anyway here a bit about me from today TODAY TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who doesnt LOVE friday's???  Its a payday here & i usually look forward to payday, i look forward to alot of things on friday even if most friday i pay the bills & do the grocery shopping, aye i get to shopping with NO kids in tow these days, i use to dream of doing that when mine were little & the boys would find it so funnt to jump out on me & thier sister from a rail of clothing in a busy store, to find a not so happy mummy about the fact they ran off in the first place, tut

But today we took ourselves off to the ice rink again, its something we have found to be able to do as a whole family we all love doing the same thing together, i am please about, for you that dont know much about my/our history, me & dh met in the ice rink our love grew there & then we had our babies we didnt go as much & other things happened in our lives. Our "little ones" are much older now & slowly growing wings, we are helping them learn to fly, So its nice to know see & experience our children loving the same hobby as we use to, they all want there own boots now!!
